Review of Remember the Daze (2008) by Thomas D — 09 Jul 2008
Just about every critic who has commented on this film seems to miss the point entirely, at least the way I see it. Each seems to be looking for some iconic character to stand out from the rest, but none of us from this generation really did at the time! The best part of this movie is that it accurately portrays my high school experience, right down to Charles laying on the ground surrounded by ice while the quasi race wars are taking place around him! I've never felt more nostalgic because of a movie.
By the way, Bob Baker of the Los Angeles Times can eat a d**k. I apologize for the language, but his comment about throwing myself under a car . . . totally uncalled for. Who is he to judge? So what if my high school years are nothing more than, at best, a hazy memory due to smoking too much marijuana and eating my shrooms with kitkats? The best part of this movie is that it helps me to remember exactly what it was that I forgot.
