Review of Reprise (2006) by Jun O — 09 Jun 2008
Riding the dangerous razor's edge between harmless and boring, this film kept waiting for something to happen in it, but no, not really. Blond boys who write, brood, and go swimming! I can get this from an Adrian Tomine comic with more economy. Is this film abut depression? If so, is there a beginning, middle or an end? Well, at least the actors are engaging and attractive.
Hmm, Norway--I really like Kings of Convenience--bossa nova meets Simon and Garfunkel, but... its cinema? I don't get it, just like I didn't get the pointless 5 Obstructions--oops that's Danish.
