Yet another incoherent addition to the series with an extra addition of shaky camera pans, awful editing and left-short cutting leave the film's finale as an incomprehensible messy blur, with a lot of action that's been inventive throughout the franchise but now it's just effortlessly tired adding no significance to the film. Sure director Paul W.S. Anderson adds a couple of spectacles to the film, such as an armoured vehicle hinting at Mad Mad Fury Road, and a burning building presenting itself as a beacon, sure it looks pretty but it signifies nothing. In addition the ending we've all been waiting for, for nearly fifteen years it's just left incoherently stupid.

On another point Milla Jovovich's heroine Alice doesn't feel like the hero of the film anymore mainly because she spends most of the film's run-time either suspended through the air, getting herself kidnapped or unconscious at even just the slightest thing that jumps out at her.

Verdict of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter: Shaky camera pans, awful editing and left-short cutting make for the most incoherent film in a series that signifies nothing in the world of cinema. 2/5.
