While it's frustratingly clear what parts the filmmakers cared deeply about and what they thought would be passively entertaining (and profitable), Return of the Jedi proves a fun and exciting conclusion to the originally, even if it doesn't even come remotely close to scratching the monumental heights of its predecessors.
