Like the original the jokes are hit and miss but Return of the Killer Tomatoes! post-modern reflections on genre convention and marketing make it historically an important and underrated movie that deserves more praise.
This ends up being its greatest strength and shows intelligence rarely displayed in cinema comedy at the time. It's also a lot fun.
