Tries to be like Hard Candy, which in itself tried to be like an edgier, self-righteous Misery. Hard Candy failed at this and Return to Sender failed at being Hard Candy. There is no demographic that the film is aimed at: rape victims are usually not sociopaths, men would fall asleep immediately.
.. A ridiculous film that aims to do nothing and accomplishes it.
