I remembered first hearing about this movie being developed, and my initial thought was, "Here's a remake that doesn't need to happen." Instead, this surprisingly fresh take on how Caesar and his merry band of apes came to be is filled with gravitas, especially when it comes to Andy Serkis's standout motion capture performance.
