Review of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (2009) by Ryan V — 11 Jul 2015
I love the Costner don't get me wrong but on repeat viewing this is a bit of a turkey. 2hrs35 as well? Give me strength. When it tries to go for humour and not take itself seriously it works the best, nowhere is this conveyed better than Rickman's Sheriff of Nottingham who is having a blast with some of the lines here.
Outside of that though it's a schmaltzy rock ballad of a movie built around getting Bryan Adams to number 1 for about a year and half.
