Review of Rock & Rule (1983) by Evan K — 12 Jun 2010
Animation is inconsistent, giving a trippy vibrating image. The music is okay, but not integrated well enough. The bad guy is cliche and happens to be a rock idol, they don't really connect. The world is quirky, but not explored enough.
The good guys are too lame. The narrative isn't exciting. Some characters are fun, but the direction has no pizaz, its a punk film without punk.
