Review of Roma (2018) by Lyn — 27 Jan 2019
Everyone has mad respect for Alfonso Cuaron, for good reason ... and I think that's part of the critics' love for this film. It is his very personal, touching memoir of his own childhood, filled with evocative details and oh-so-arty in black and white.
I enjoyed the slice-of-life aspect of it, but was distracted by the fact that the lead actress can't act. At all.
