Review of Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired (2008) by Susan M — 28 Feb 2009
Well researched and well sequenced film that is as even-handed as it can be without being able to provide an interview with the judge. Biographies of the key players are balanced nicely with the events of the trial.
The use of footage from Polanski's films in new contexts has hit-and-miss success, but that's more than made up for with stunningly personal archival footage and well conducted interviews.
