Review of Rope (1948) by Aidan D — 14 Apr 2018
Both Roger Ebert and Hitchcock himself called this a "failed experiment". I disagree. I view this as a landmark film is his career and a landmark for film in general. Hitchcock handles the beautifully written play perfectly, as well as unleashing his technical genius.
Not ashamed to call this one of my favorite Hitchcock films.
