Review of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1991) by Andrea S — 18 Jan 2011
Tom Stoppard's play doesn't translate impeccably to the big screen, but the play's great pleasures are still there. Stoppard, directing his own adaptation, gets two fantastic stars to bring his titular characters to life in Gary Oldman and Tim Roth.
Oldman and Roth are wonderful together, expertly playing off one another. And Richard Dreyfuss is a ham and half as The Player.
