Review of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1991) by Private U — 13 Sep 2008
Up there somewhere on the top of my favourites list. Great film. Hilarious, occasionally even moving. A tragicomedy worthy of comparison with Beckett. Existential and literary in a way that reminds us of Sartre.
Metafictional on the level of Calvino or Nabokov. Great acting, magnificent writing, and a top adaptation.
