Based on the reviews that I'd read when this first was released, I was expecting this to be pretty horrendous. But, it wasn't that bad. I don't know if it's not done as well, or if it's just been a long time since I saw Weekend at Bernie's, but I feel like this version is pretty gross/disrespectful when it comes to the scenes with the dead body.
