Review of Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage (2010) by Mark D — 28 Jun 2010
Excellent! An immensely entertaining documentary on the rock band Rush. Like the film makers other music based documentaries, Metal A headbangers journey and Iron Maiden Flight 666, Beyond The Lighted Stage moves along at a brisk pace never lingering too long on any one aspect of the bands history and one doesn't have to be a fan of the subject matter to be completely entertained.
I've never been what would be considered a fan of Rush but I found this film a very insightful and fun look at the inner workings of the band and came away with a new appreciation of what they do.
Highly recommended for fans and non fans who enjoy well made documentaries.
