Review of Rust and Bone (2012) by Akshay M — 22 Nov 2014
A good one, though hard to watch. The main characters are robust and underclass, and the action takes place in the margins of Nice - not the Nice of the rich or of the tourist. It's a world of bare knuckle fighting and amoral, animalistic behaviour.
The denouement is a little hasty and implausible but it's a powerful piece nonetheless.
