Review of Samurai Rebellion (1967) by Mohamed E — 02 Oct 2012
By all accounts, Samurai Rebellion is well-executed. The script is well-written with powerful storytelling, strong imagery, and engrossing complexities. The acting is great. The action, though minimal, is exciting.
Although, the film may not feel completely accessible. Some may find the story slow and too esoteric to appreciate, as the plot largely revolves around the traditions and laws of Feudal Japan. But the majority (early parts) of the story is integral to the film's exciting action-packed finale, so the film wraps up beautifully.
