Review of Sausage Party (2016) by Filippo V — 13 Nov 2018

I can take heavy language at least as much as the next guy, but this one tries too hard to stay blue. No reason for it, even as an adult movie with mature-based situations, it's just forced and unnecessary profanity for cheap laughs and affect. The story had plenty of potential without it. So many non-filth lines were funny as-is and the actors are excellent enough to pull it off without cheating.

There's no rule that says a movie has to dwell in the bathroom and the street in order to be adult-exclusive and funny. It's like one of those people who habitually start every other sentence with the F-word because they don't think what they have to say is engaging enough.

Actually an insult to the audience's intelligence.
