Review of Saving Private Ryan (1998) by John C — 10 Aug 2014
Proving to be too real for the love of the Oscars and a little long for my liking, Saving Private Ryan brings the best reenactment of D-Day the world has ever seen and the thrilling emotions of both past and present day characters that are yet still affected by the aftermath and continuity of war.
This real-life story that covers the mission to rescue last living brother of the Ryan family is one that will keep you on the edge of your seat, thanks in part to Tom Hanks and his wonderfully scripted cast that follows in his footsteps.
The reason for Hanks being casted? He earned it. 5 stars.
