Review of Schindler's List (1993) by Bill G — 19 Dec 2018
This film really captures the terror of the holocaust. The Jewish men, women. and children in Germany during WWII were treated terribly. You can see citizens yelling at the jewish people, gathering them onto trains and into camps, and treating them like cattle.
The Nazis really dehumanized the jewish people, they treated them as if they were just bodies that were less important than themselves. You can see children hiding from soldiers. There is a scene that really stands out to me where a group of people are led into a room and they believe that it is a gas chamber, but then it ends up being a shower and they feel so relieved.
This shows us the amount of horrendous near death stress they were constantly under. Oscar Schindler saved many of the jewish people from being killed, he was a hero of a man and will always be remembered as such.
I read a story that Robin Williams apparantly phoned the crew of this film to tell them jokes to lighten the mood.
