Review of Scream Blacula Scream (1973) by Brad G — 27 Feb 2010
This fairly boring sequel to the better-than-you-remember Blacula does have a great opening sequence that sees a disgruntled Voodoo pimp resurrecting William Marshallâ??s undead badass to help him conquer Pam Grierâ??s clan.
I love, love, love Richard Lawsonâ??s Voodoo Pimp aka Willis aka Blaculaâ??s Renfield and I really love his reaction to his invisible reflection, â??I can never see my face again? Well, how do I look?â?? Awesome.
But the middle bit just goes and goes. And there is no Thalmus Rasulala to fill the Van Helsing void. William Marshall is always worth a watch but itâ??s just nowhere near as entertaining as the original.
