Review of Scream VI (2023) by Infrarecon — 01 May 2023

Never watched a Scream Movie before, I expected a pretty lousy sequel because of the number they are at now, I didn't even watch a trailer, but I am glad to say that I enjoyed this one, It makes me want to check out the previous movies.

However there are a few things that are not logical at all, maybe it's just me, but I noticed a lot of scenes where a spotlight character could have done something else instead of just running away, "you are holding a Knife just gut the dude already". I guess it's meant to make the audience think are "they going to die", or "will they or won't they" type moments?

Other than that amazing effects and visuals were done with the blood, characters, scenes, looks and everything.

FX and Practicals - 9/10. Some gore would be nice, but the blood effects were sound.

Story and Plot - 7/10. It's good but lacks logic in some scenes. But most of the time got me suspicious of the characters. (That's a good thing).

Characters 6/10 - As a newcomer to the franchise, I Surprisingly liked all the characters. But then again the logic and the overall plot dampens the way characters act.

Overall, a good movie, 7/10 watch it, it's more than entertaining, it's quality content. Is it the best mystery, horror, or thriller movie I've ever watched...no that probably goes for movies like "Seven". If you make the next movie more scary and intense, maybe a bit longer, you'll have a banger. And don't be afraid to let your characters get their hands dirty(again) if you know what I mean.
