Review of See No Evil 2 (2014) by Michael H — 22 Nov 2014
Well I have just watched See No Evil 2, Jacob Goodnight is back, for a second round. After faking his own death, to get away with the murders of the group of prisoners at the Blackwell hotel that they were cleaning up. Just s Amy is about to leave for the night the news reports come in of the Jacob Goodnights victims. So she stays and helps out. The footage "Flashbacks" were impressive. Was a really tense moment when Amy and Jacob Goodnight were in the life, really thought he was going to come alive and kill her. The morgue really makes a scary location. Also another freaky moment with poor Amy when her friends surprise her by hiding under blankets in the morgue room. After seeing Katherine Isabelle playing Mary in American Mary, and then seeing her as Tamara in this film she's really different, very good acting. Tamara goes off exploring with Carter where they find Jacob's body. So go on to have sex, when suddenly his body disappears and the lights go out. . Loved it when Tamara lights a match and he's standing right behind them. Love how Jacob welds a chain and hook to kill Holden. They all get reunionited again to find safety in the dark, but they all get picked off one by one by Jacob. In the end its only Seth and Amy, it reminds me a bit of a hopeless love story. Also very sad at the same time where she gets killed and he is left on his own. I love the Soska sisters, I love how twisted their films are.
All in all it was an amazing horror flick, loved the amount of tools he had, instead of just the one trademark tool like in Nightmare on Elm Street or Jason Voorhees with his Knife.
