It's almost impossible not to be charmed by "Set It Up," the adorable Netflix original film about two overworked assistants who hatch a plan to make their equally overworked (and mean) bosses fall in love. It's a quick watch that's brimming with warm nostalgia, a cute and light (if disposable) form of entertainment.

Hardworking Harper (Zoey Deutch) is the assistant to one of the nation's top sports reporters (Lucy Liu). The affable Charlie (Glen Powell) works in the same building for an equally demanding boss, the bigshot businessman Rick (Taye Diggs). After a chance late night meeting in the lobby of their shared office high-rise, Charlie and Harper realize they can perhaps make their lives easier by helping their workaholic bosses find romance - with each other. While the duo go full-on Cyrano de Bergerac, they discover another love story that is blooming between themselves.

This is a classic, feel-good romantic comedy that's oozing with a funny and sweet vibe. It's lighthearted and free from the bawdy foul-mouthed trap that so many modern rom-coms fall into. Deutch and Powell have a fantastic onscreen chemistry, and Liu and Diggs ham it up with their over-the-top mean bosses bravado. Everything comes together and works as a whole, keeping the film from disappointing fans of the genre.

The story is generic and predictable, but what's the harm in an easy-to-swallow movie that makes you feel good?
