Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Dan M — 20 Oct 2016
At three and a half hours, you really have to commit yourself to these lengthy movies and after seeing a previous Akira Kurosawa movie, Yojiimbo, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it through this one.
This one wasn't too bad though. The comic relief here was a drunken, loud 'samurai' named Kikuchiyo. He stole the film here with his antics and that really helped with me not snoozing off at any point(although there were some slower moments where it was getting close to it).
Good movie overall, but like I said before, not a big fan of 3 hour plus movies.
