Review of Shadows and Fog (1991) by Willem W — 07 Dec 2007
Okay, I admit it, I'm a sucker for Woody Allen. I saw "Play it Again, Sam' when I was a kid and have been hooked ever since. In my eyes, the Wood Man can do no wrong. This is a moody, weird little gem with a heavy German Expressionistic ambience.
Loosely incorporating one of his stage plays. There's also a hint of Bergman here. Funny and entertaining, but admittedly kind of slow.
