Review of She Will (2022) by Jluis_001 — 17 Aug 2022
The plot of She Will is not complicated in any way, but there is a deep theme at its core.
At the beginning it manages to keep the suspense because it is much more interested in symbolism and atmosphere, which I can say is quite good, or as far as I can tell I liked it a lot. It looks like a horror movie, but it's not exactly one.
There is more than one creepy moment, but the story itself is meant to be more of a thought-provoking experience rather than one that terrifies you. In this case it's just that the presentation it chooses to develop its plot is more rooted in that tone rather than being a basic drama, after all the story is about trauma and externalizes it in a rather interesting way. I liked it. With reservations, but I liked it. Also Dario Argento produced it. I mention it in case that motivates you to see it.
