Review of She's Out of My League (2010) by Ryan L — 03 Jun 2012
You know what? This is my favorite romantic comedy. It's a romcom for guys is what it is. The first thing to comment on is the script. It's such a funny and well written script that tells a story that we've all sorta seen, but not to this extreme (most people would say she is WAY out of his league).
BUT Jay Baruchel, my number one favorite Canadian is awesome. He's hilarious in this, he has that regular guy charm that most of us can easily relate to. He's funny when he needs to be but he really can also act.
Really well. From there I move to Alice Eve. I'm in love with her. She's my second favorite (right behind Emma Watson. Both British). She really is a solid actress, and of course she is down right gorgeous.
Rounding out the main cast would be TJ Miller. Now what can I say about this man. He came and performed at my school, and it was some of the funniest stuff I've heard. He's extremely witty, and that shows in the movie.
You can read on the others faces when he ad-libs a line. Not perfect technically but I don't give a shit. I fucking love this movie. I watch it over and over and it never gets old for me (part of that is probably due to Alice Eve being so fucking pretty.
Scratch that, it's mostly because of her). But the whole cast is great and tells the story in a perfect way. Highly recommended.
