A really interesting documentary, really unlike anything else out there. By the end, you feel the anger and frustration of what could have been for Sophie, Jasmine, and Sandi. Shirkers for sure would have been a cult classic, if not for the selflessness of George.
I would have given it five stars if not for the focus on George an this background, he was incredibly creepy and I found him and the relationship he had with Sandi to be extremely uncomfortable, I felt that the documentary could have criticized him more and painted him less as an enigmatic mysterious ghost, rather than simply the fat creep he is.
Sandi can also be extremely unlikeable at times, especially in the way she talks about her friends and her relationship with George. However,? she is obviously talented and her movie looked incredible.
