Review of Short Circuit 2 (1988) by Kiran G — 19 Jul 2007
I haven't seen this one in a while, but when I was younger I watched it no fewer than 50 times. The mix of a coming of age simultaneously of a living robot and an Indian immigrant with a traditional American dream make this a deeper movie than it really should have been.
The plot was solid throughout, although as usual it is necessary to suspend disbelief from time to time. The scene with Ben reading off the billboard to Cynthia Gibb was absolutely the funniest thing I have ever seen.
