Review of Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018) by Joshua B — 10 Jul 2018
The sequel nicely compliments the original while exposing viewers to the harsh truth about the modern wars of terror and narco terror that are being waged along our southern border. Having previously read "Wolf Boys" by Dan Slater, I considered it to be a real treat that those true events and the real people discussed in that book were woven into the plot of Sicario: Day of the Soldado.
This movie is raw and unapologetic, but still showcases the basic humanity that remains deep within even the most hardened and desensitized soldiers. I believe the critics giving this movie negative reviews are basing their opinions on how the world "should" be, rather than how it "is".
