Review of Silence (2017) by Jonathan C — 02 Jun 2018
A raw take of two earnest missionaries in the face of persecution and forced apostasy. Portrayals of mercy and compassion, as well as tough questions about faith and culture. A must watch for Christians, and I'd love to hear what my friends from both sides of faith have to say about this one.
It's a long slog, and often has a slow pace. But I felt pretty wrecked during a number of scenes. No particular performance stood out, but beautiful scenes filled with painful emotion.
