Truly wonderful, it is fun to see the base inspiration, especially after seeing so many of the newer films it inspired. The cast is incredible, its still visually sharp and stunning and it came out 71 years ago.
Even the lesser parts, mostly just the overlong broadway melody interlude, are not nearly enough to detract in any meaningful way.
