Review of SLC Punk (1998) by Kenric A — 08 Jul 2018

I only made it a few minutes into what appeared to me a piece of garbage with poor acting, poor direction, unrealistic plot (clean cut mother wouldn't have sat right in front of them in the doc's office even if they hadn't tried to talk to her child and no doctor would use physical force on any patient when they refuse treatment), and while I certainly sympathize with the young punk's conflict with clean cut America, they snuck up on the "rednecks" with pipes instead of giving them a fair fight which is even worse than a sucker punch, which is what this movie felt like to me.

The main thing saving it from the absolute lowest rating is the awesome music although that's not original anymore either. I suppose to be fair rating I should have watched it to the end but unfortunately I'm not immortal and don't have that much time to waste.
