Not true. It depends what you are trying to make.
1) I did laugh, the bit where Jean Tripplehorn is messing around behind the blinds- 'hide the mistress' joke.
2) I think, messing around with time's arrow... After you get over that, it comes down to how well you make romantic comedy.
