Review of Smelchak (1919) by Anonymous . — 13 Aug 2011
I think Ben Affleck's acting career is cursed. Sure, he's an acclaimed director, but if he acts in someone else's movie, it's destined to fail. This is a prime example. One of Marvel's worst to date, Daredevil deprives the audience of a well-written or well-directed film that they would expect from such a great group of people. It's also a shame that Colin Farrell is involved in this mess, but I guess being an enemy in a huge superhero movie is hard to pass up. Either way, while it does contain some good elements, they are completely outweighed by the lost potential and poor writing of the film. Thankfully, Marvel has stepped up its game since then, so I thank them for that. And to look on the bright side, at least Daredevil wasn't as bad as Elektra...oh my.
43%.
