Review of Smooth Talk (1985) by Chris S — 23 Mar 2009
Based on Joyce Carol Oate's classic short story "Where are you going, Where have you Been?", comes a disturbing drama of a womanizing killer told through the point of view of one of his victims.
A superb performance by a very young and hot Laura Dern who plays the girlfriend and later victim of Arnold Friend, played by a somewhat convincing Treat Williams who pulled as much skeletons out of the closet to bring this role to life but in the end didn't pull enough out.
