Review of Snow White and the Huntsman (2012) by Talbis — 06 Jul 2017
This will be short. The movie looks amazing, but that's not enough... The story had a chance to succeed however it's extremely dialogue-heavy. I mean, you're a movie, SHOW US instead of talking. Chris Hemsworth gave a decent performance, but it was obvious that he's there just for a paycheck, Charlize Theron noticed that the movie is going in the wrong direction and allowed herself to go crazy with overacting (and she's amazing!) while Kristen Stewart gave her usual devoid of life, emotions, humanity and talent flat performance.
It shows that the director is focused too much on visuals and not at all on story or character development. Also, movie... if you want me to believe that Kristen Stewart is more attractive than Charlize Theron you gonna have to put a bottle of scotch next to that mirror.
Below average, watchable but little to no enjoyment will be had.
