Review of Solaris (2002) by Tim D — 29 Jan 2016
A very interesting story about the differences between memory and the reality of the past, and how romantically we can see people when we dwell in the memory. Great visuals, but a bit boring at parts. Probably Clooneys best work to date, as he doesn't really have the opportunity to fall back on his charm, which I feel is pretty much all he does in movies anymore.
It was hard to separate it from Sphere or Event Horizon or even 2001, even though it was much more of a psychological drama than a thriller of any sort.
