Review of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) by Ohnoitssenpai — 18 Jun 2023

While this movie doesn't quite live up to the previous one, it is in no way a bad move, in fact it's super good! This movie trades in a lot of the originals substance to create a young man's coming of age story, which means it's full of drama.

The style and story telling (along with some good laughs) carry it through to create an excellent experience. The real issue with this movie other than being extra sappy, is honestly how uncontained the story seems.

It's a long movie that doesn't really end, this is either due to the fact that they knew there was always going to be another movie or because they were trying to keep the run time down. This causes the movie to need another film to finish the tale, which the first one never needed.
