This is the most fun I've had in any MCU movie. You can probably tell I'm a big Spider-Man by this, but even without the fanboyism, I feel like this movie is a joy for anybody. However, people keep stating a problem with this movie, which is it not having enough stakes at hand, and I think that would've been pretty unnecessary.

I mean look at the last movie, his freaking girlfriend got her neck snapped. And the 4 Spider-Man films before that had pretty high stakes too, like his girlfriend getting captured (again), his Aunt being put in the hospital by Green Goblin, etc.

Isn't it great to take a break from that and just watch a movie that's mostly about being Spider-Man and living a Spider-Man life without HUGE stakes getting in the way (The Vulture threatened to kill him and his family FYI)? That's exactly what I needed.

And not only that, but a super comic book accurate Spider-Man we've never really seen before. BUT, there is one problem I have with this film, and that's the casting for his school friends. This is NOT a racist thing, I don't mind Zendaya as MJ, but my god I hate the Flash in this movie so much.

You may be thinking that I'm supposed to and all, but I mean HATE him as in also hate the actor who played him. First off, character wise he's not the Flash. He's not a mean bully like he should be, he's a guy in Peter's actual social circle who happens to be a huge dick.

And why is he a science person like Peter? That's not the Flash. The real Flash in the first Spider-Man film picked on Peter for how much of a nerd he was, but given he's also a nerd himself in this movie, he just picks on him for no reason at all.

He's stupid and annoying, which then again is his purpose, I think. He could've at least not been casted as a skinny Indian dude, which seemed really forced. I know this is a comic book accuracy problem, but it still bothers me.

Also, Ned is cool, but that's another casting problem. No, I'm not against his race, they just could've casted a much better kid for him. One who didn't sound like a girl, one who's a better actor in general.

I heard he's a friend of Tom Holland's, but that shouldn't have stopped them from casting somebody else. But this is really just all my opinion, I know other people love Ned and that's fine.

And these two casting choices (and character choice for Flash) didn't stop me from giving this film a five star, though. That's how much I love Peter and Spider-Man and The Vulture and Aunt May in this fantastic comic book adaption.

It's still one heck of a blast. Can't wait to see more Spider-Man in Infinity War!
