Review of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) by John S — 15 Dec 2018
Greatest animated movie I've ever seen that feels like every frame was pulled straight from a comic book with inventive ways of portraying spider-mans powers the way people catch their webs to either move the characters forward faster ( physically ) or when villains catch them to avoid being harmed.
The voice acting was spot on from Shameik Moore, Jake Johnson, Hailee Steinfeild and all other cast members the movie never drags or ruins emotional moments with poorly time jokes. And the comedy in this movie is sharp and well distributed through the movie Stand outs being John Mulaney and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Ham and Spider-Man noir.
This movie innovatives not only animation in big budget blockbusters but the Superhero genre in general bringing a concept of multiple dimensions and time travel but in no way convoluting the plot to a point all audiences can understand.
