Review of Splendor in the Grass (1961) by Mitsu C — 11 Jul 2007
"Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, we will grieve not, but rather finds strength in what remains behind." Omgosh!! This movie just moves me.
It's really about the tragedy of love that any young teenage girl could go through. Natalie Wood does an amazing job of portraying that young teen spirit. I especially like the end where she seems to deal with and overcome the heartache by finding strength in her sorrow.
This movie is not a fantasy, it's the real deal of life.
