Every now and then, Shyamalan still points out how he still has yet to grasp exactly what a human being is and how they speak, but those moments are few and far between, and what is between is a great premise, gripping pacing, and a trademark twist, with each of these points being anchored by the greatest achievement of the film, McAvoy's performance.
