The movie doesn't end in the best possible way, but the mood and the set-up are superior to most everything he's done in recent years. McAvoy is amazing, as is the indelible Betty Buckley. Loved her in "8 is Enough" - can't believe she's still kicking so much ass.
Joy is also really good - her career seems to be off to an amazing start.
