Review of Spotlight (2015) by Gregory G — 03 Jan 2019
Informative and compelling at times, yet hardly deserving of the two Academy Awards it garnered; SPOTLIGHT seats Michael Keaton and Mark Ruffalo [Hulk] at the helm, to pragmatically delineate the investigative reporting that exposed Bostonâ(TM)s Catholic Archdiocese Sex Abuse Scandal.
Itâ(TM)s no more or less than what anyone would expect, with a few inquisitive surprises to keep the ball rolling. The film is worth seeing once for its academic dramatization value, but thatâ(TM)s about it.
