Review of Spring (2014) by Panos Y — 25 Jul 2017
No plot movie which depends on unexpected circumstances, "Spring" is the teenage equivalent of "Let The Right One In" which again, centers on isolationist, Evan (Lou Taylor Pucci) who has just experienced the loss of his last family member who happens to be his mother.
He then gets himself fired from the only job he knows about working in some pub/ bar from an incident which is clearly not his fault and is completely avoidable. Assuming that he is pushed into a corner, and assuming that the police are still after him as a result of that brawl or scuffle in which he was not the aggressor, he then flees to Italy for the purpose of avoiding arrest.
What happens next is the coincidental meeting of the girl of his dreams who happens to be not who she claims to be. Co-written and co-directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Scott Moorhead.
