Review of Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) by Matthew S — 30 Jul 2011
This movie is a perfect example of how to make a TV-show into a movie. It plays out like an great episode of the show, but on a much grader scale. Although a bit slow, the movie makes up for this with amazing visuals and a genuinely deep story.
I'm really not sure why it's got a bad rep, it really is a treat to watch and i'd rank it pretty high on both my Star Trek Movie list AND all-time favorite list.
