Review of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) by Mikec160 — 24 May 2019
I really do not see all the hate for this movie. There are too many trolls out there that are so upset because it doesn’t compare to the originals. Do not let that deter your from watching it. Of course the movies do not compare to the originals they are prequels!
The good:
1. The action scenes on Geonosis.
2. The fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett both on Kamino and in space.
3. The chase for stopping Zam from escaping.
4. The subtleties of Chancellor receiving emergency powers is quite similar to how Hitler obtained dictatorial powers.
5. The first intense meeting between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett.
6. Count Dooku Vs Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Yoda.
7. The scene Anakin slaughters the Tusken Raiders signals his vulnerability to the dark side.
The bad:
1. The romance drags on at times 2. The lines between Anakin and Padmé are cheesy but a lot of lines from the movies are cheesy.
3. The reliance on CGI is quite noticeable.
Again the movie isn’t perfect but none of them are as they all have flaws.
